The family counseling can be beneficial for family members who provide care and support to family members. A nurse-led consultation service for families of the elderly has been developed based on the Calgary Family Assessment and Intervention Model. In order to assess the quality of the service, caregiver satisfaction with counseling sessions has been measured with a questionnaire developed within the framework of Donabedian “Evaluating the Quality of Medical Care”. Out of 90 participants, 61 returned the questionnaire. The satisfaction with the service was high (79 % percent of the maximum number of theoretically possible points). Participants benefited from counseling and would return for next sessions.
